Luxury Beauty and Perfume Brands to Try

From the best skincare specialists to haircare heroes, here are 10 of our favorite beauty brands that deserve to be better known.

Bentley Beyond

To celebrate Bentley’s 100th anniversary, Bentley Fragrances launched its first collection of scents.

The trio of fragrances is inspired by the founder of Bentley, Walter Owen Bentley, who when only 14 years old cycled 130 miles from London to Norfolk in one day.

The new fragrance collection evokes exciting destinations, from Acapulco for Exotic Musk, to Goa for Majestic Cashmere and Java for Wild Vetiver. Master perfumers Mathilde Bijaoui, Julie Massé and Sidonie Lancesseur each created a fragrance that reflects the joy of independent travel.

Exotic Musk has notes of tonka bean and musk, while Majestic Cashmere has facets of amber and musk and Wild Vetiver has an aromatic, woody scent. The perfume bottles have been created in collaboration with Bentley Motors design studio.

The stylish perfume bottle mirrors the cut crystal headlights of the Bentley Continental GT, and the iconic Flying B logo is engraved on the flacon. A handstitched leather cap mirrors the Bentley Motors luxurious interiors. Bentley Fragrances are available in Harrods and Lalique stores.

Self tan has come a long way over the last few years, and Fake Bake is one of the best new formulations. Their award winning self tanning products give you the choice between going instant or gradually more tanned.

They’re also easy to apply, thanks to a step by step guide and application gloves. We like their Flawless Coconut Tanning Serum for Face and Body, which smooths on easily and also looks very natural. It gives even coverage and has a pleasant fragrance too.

Korean skincare is increasingly popular, and bestselling brand J.ONE is among the most well known. The J.One Jelly Pack is their signature product, and one of the highest selling beauty masks in Korea.

This Korean mask is an innovative cross between a rescue mask and a make-up primer. It contains a powerful antioxidant, fullerene, which is a Nobel prize winning ingredient that helps to reduce wrinkles and blemishes.

Collagen boosting peptides work to increase collagen production, whilst hyaluronic acid should hydrate skin further. Surprisingly, it’s not sticky and it helps make-up to go on more easily.

We found it particularly effective for smoothing skin and minimizing spots. In clinical trials, 100% of people experienced a temporary decline in dead skin cells. The J.One Jelly Pack is available from Selfridges, Feelunique and The Hut Group and costs £20 for 30ml.

Miller Harris

London perfumers, Miller Harris have created three stunning new scents inspired by urban foraging: Hidden on the Rooftops, Lost in the City and Wander through the Parks.

Although foraging has always been essential to human existence, it’s amazing how many wild ingredients you can find in an urban environment. London has a higher density of honey bees than anywhere else in the UK.

Hidden on the Rooftops evokes a secret rooftop garden with bees buzzing merrily around. Lost in the City brings to mind the contrast between lush ferns and the concrete jungle, while Wander Through the Parks is a clever combination of nettles and citrus fruits.

The packaging of each fragrance is sustainable yet beautiful. Miller Harris have teamed up with Smile Plastics, who work with waste material such as bottle tops and yoghurt pots to make unique perfume holders that you can reuse as trinket boxes. Each perfume is available at Millerharris.com and costs £95 for 50 ml or £140 for 100 ml.
