The Best Luxury Ski Chalets in Courchevel 1850

With Winter in full swing, it’s time to embrace the cold weather. What could be a better way than by heading to Courchevel, one of the most upmarket French mountain resorts. We have not one but two luxury ski chalets in Courchevel 1850 to wet your appetite.

Skiing in Courchevel 1850

Situated within Les Trois Vallées, the world’s biggest interconnected skiing area, you have access to over 150 km of ski runs from Courchevel 1850. Suitable for skiers of all levels, the resort has ZEN areas for beginners, 19 green and 35 blue runs. Intermediate and advanced skiers will appreciate the 34 red and 8 black runs. Enjoy nocturnal skiing every Wednesday on the Verdons run and in the Family Park. Snow in Courchevel is always abundant, in fact there is guaranteed snow from December to the end of April. That’s thanks to the high altitude and a total of 2100 snow cannons covering the 3 Vallées area.

The Aquamotion centre is the largest European waterpark in the Alps and has several pools, a climbing wall and saunas. There are many other fun activities to try out in Courchevel, including dog sledding and fat bikes, which are specially adapted to the snow.

Luxury Ski Chalets in Courchevel – Le Blanchot

The first of the fabulous ski chalets is Le Blanchot, located in the exclusive Bellecôte area of Courchevel. One of the big advantages of this luxury chalet is its proximity to the slopes of Courchevel 1850, which are only 5 minutes away. The charming timber-framed building is a real home from home. Inside, guests will find a superb cinema room seating 11,a ski boot room, a spa with Jacuzzi, massage and steam rooms as well as a luxurious swimming pool with relaxation area. Spread over 5 floors and with a convenient internal lift, the chalet comfortably sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms and bathrooms.

There’s also a gym that’s equipped with the latest high tech workout machines and a Gaggenau designed kitchen. The focal point of the chalet is a magnificent wrought iron staircase created by a renowned Parisian craftsman. The lounge and dining area have high timber ceilings that accentuate the feeling of space and are decorated with stylish wood, stone and leather materials. Guests will be truly pampered by the 2 housekeepers, chef and butler, whilst an in-resort driver will be on hand to drop them off at the slopes or in town. Along with the other staff, there is also a Chalet manager who oversees the smooth running of both Chalets and is available to deal with any client requests.

Chalet Le Coquelicot is an elegant mountain retreat that cleverly integrates snow-inspired details to reflect its surroundings. With a stylish 10 metre swimming pool, massage room, Jacuzzi and steam room, it’s a haven after a full day of skiing. This spacious chalet sleeps up to 12 people with 6 bedrooms and bathrooms over 6 floors.

Located in the chic Nogentil area of Courchevel, it’s directly on the slopes so you can actually ski right up to your door. The ski room also has direct ski-in and out access. We particularly like the screening room with its comfy velvet seating, as well as the contemporary bathrooms. The centrepiece of the chalet is the stunning open fireplace – perfect for entertaining or relaxing. They’ve thought of everything here, there’s a lift, staff room, garage and even a car lift. You’ll be well looked after by the chef, butler, housekeepers and the in-resort driver.

  • Hi Suze,

That open fireplace set up is stunning. Both places are jaw-dropping. I have 2 faves here 😉 Even though I am a warm weather guy I’d see this region in France in a heartbeat. Especially when considering the beauty of the countryside and the fabulous lodging too. I’d not ski; just sit in the room with the fireplace going all day long.

Ha ha, I have to say that sitting in front of the fireplace is very tempting indeed! It would be a shame to miss the amazing snow and scenery though 😉

Oh wow all of these properties look amazing!! I really want to go snowboarding again, just have to wait for my youngest to be a little older, perhaps next season

What spectacular chalets! I love the idea of nocturnal skiing too.

    • Suze

Looks like a lot of fun, doesn’t it!

  • Wow, these chalets surely look spectacular, especially Le Blanchot. The charming landscape at Courchevel reminds me why I love to go skiing every year. I never enjoyed night skiing, although they have it at most resorts where we went. Looks kind of scary to me… Have a Merry Christmas, Suze!

    • Suze

I really want to try night skiing though by that stage in the day I’m usually happy curled up in front of the fire after a full day of skiing!

  • Looking for a ski chalet at the mo but with just four of us we’d be rattling around in either of these – a whole row each in the cinema though!

  • Gorgeous looking chalets, would love to escape somewhere nice with lots of snow and I am sure my husband would love the nocturnal skiing option!

  • It looks so stunning! I’m excited to get to the snow tomorrow 😀
