Give me Fever – Best of British

I’m a big fan of Fever London – I have at least 5 of their vintage inspired dresses. They are surprisingly affordable for something so unique. So when they suggested that I feature an item from their new City collection, I was very happy to oblige. Fever have three collections, City (workwear), Heritage (daywear and casual wear) and Occasion (evening and occasionwear). I chose the Getty Square Neck Pencil Dress in Sapphire because I love the colour and decorative detail, and it can take you easily from day to night.

The Getty pencil dress is 1960s inspired, and gives you an hourglass shape. The decorative lattice cut on the waist and neckline means you don’t need to wear a necklace.

I found it very comfy to wear as it contains 3% elastane, although it’s quite figure hugging so you might not want to wear it for a blow-out meal!

Fever London travel for vintage inspiration and anything they see on their travels could inspire a dress or top, even the colour of note paper found in a hotel in Vietnam could be the colour that they use that season.

We shot these photos at Barker & Stonehouse in Battersea and Cannizaro House Hotel in Wimbledon. Barker & Stonehouse is a very funky home furnishings store in a historic candle factory, and Cannizaro House is a beautiful hotel in Wimbledon that has recently joined the Hotel du Vin collection. Read my review of Cannizaro House Hotel and what to see in Wimbledon here.

  • Oh these type of dresses are RIGHT up my alley! I love vintage inspired anything, and that 60’s hour glass shape makes me instantly think of gorgeous Joan from Mad Men. Also, that color on you is fabulous- though good tip on not wearing such a dress for huge blowout dinners, haha 😉 I’m very curious to see what other types of dresses they have- I’m always a sucker for a dramatic full skirt frock.
