B-Dimension Jewellery Collection by Bucherer Fine Jewellery
Bucherer Fine Jewellery brand announces the hotly anticipated launch of its new B-Dimension jewellery collection. Inspired by the artwork of the American artist Ellsworth Kelly, the elegant designs have been created by Yunjo Lee.
Originally from South Korea, she studied art in New York. The sophisticated collection uses geometric forms, in particular the circle, to great effect.
There are 26 timeless pieces, including delicate bracelets, rings and bangles that can be worn on their own or together for added impact. As Yunjo Lee says, “B-Dimension lets women wear a piece of art”.

B-Dimension Design
At the heart of the B-Dimension design is the circle shape. Yunjo Lee created a number of sketches based around the circle, in order to bring a new dimension to the geometric form.
She also experimented with paper circle cut outs. “A major challenge was to find the right angle to ensure symmetry while creating the perfect effect of light reflection and shadow on the circle itself,” says Lee.

The next stage was to bring the designs to life. Yunjo Lee worked closely with the Bucherer Fine Jewellery Atelier in Lucerne throughout the process.
She chose a micropavé of brilliant diamonds with diameters from 0.7 to 0.9 mm. Touches of colour were introduced with gemstones such as carnelian, lapis lazuli and onyx.

Crafting the finished jewellery collection required a considerable level of technical expertise from specialists including gemstone setters and goldsmiths.
Matthias Heimberg, Director of Jewellery at Bucherer Fine Jewellery, gives further insight into the process. “Technically speaking, it was a major challenge to achieve the three-dimensional effect required by the design and capture the magical sparkle of the brilliant diamonds on the surface of the micropavé in the light. These pieces of jewellery are the epitome of consummate skill and master craftsmanship”.

History of Bucherer
Fortunately, Bucherer has a long tradition of craftsmanship. 130 years ago, Carl F. Bucherer and his wife Luise opened the first watch and jewellery shop in Lucerne, Switzerland.
It became a highly successful family company. His sons, Carl Eduard and Ernst joined the firm in the 1920s. Ernst Bucherer teamed up with the founder of Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf, in 1924 to introduce Rolex watches to the House of Bucherer.
The company continued to expand, opening other stores in Switzerland and the rest of the world. Bucherer celebrated their 125th anniversary in 2013, opening the world’s largest jewellery and watch store in Paris. There are now four boutiques in London, with the acquisition of The Watch Gallery in 2017.
These days, Bucherer is one of the most important jewellery and watch retailers in Europe. They offer discerning customers what could well be the largest choice of Rolex watches worldwide and an extensive selection of luxury watches from other brands. The Bucherer Fine Jewellery range includes the designs produced in the company’s workshops as well as bespoke pieces.

The circle forms of the B-Dimension Collection are adorned with the finest diamond pavé. A striking pop of colour comes from gemstones such as black onyx, carnelian red and blue lapis lazuli.
The core collection is crafted from 18-carat white gold, and there are also some beautiful pink gold designs. Each piece of jewellery has a signature B on the reverse side of the circle – the Bucherer Fine Jewellery logo.

Bucherer Fine Jewellery creates timeless pieces that you’ll wear again and again. One of the leading European jewellery brands, they’re known for their craftsmanship and precious and rare gemstones.
